Northwest Utah County Transit Study

Project Background

The Mountainland Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) under the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) in partnership with Eagle Mountain City, Saratoga Springs City, Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and Utah Transit Authority (UTA) has contracted with LSC to conduct a transit study for the communities in Northwest Utah County.

This study is intended to identify justification for future transit projects and new service strategies that will enhance transit mobility in the northwestern area of Utah County. Specifically, this study will quantify current and potential transit demand, as well as look at the potential for increased transit service while planning for future transit investments.

This study is comprised of five tasks:

1)      Project coordination and administration

2)      Review of existing service and previous plans

3)      Complete a transit needs assessment

4)      Develop and evaluate transit service scenarios

5)      Prepare draft and final study reports

Public Outreach

Opportunities to provide public input will be posted on this website throughout the planning process.
