Senior Traffic & Transportation Engineer to open an LSC office in western Colorado. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an energetic and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to advance into a management and potentially an ownership position with the firm. Job responsibilities along with desired experience and qualifications include:
Serving as project manager on traffic impact studies and other transportation planning/traffic engineering studies in Montrose, Durango, Delta, Grand Junction, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Aspen and other areas in western Colorado. Presents reports to clients and government agency staff and at public meetings. Must have excellent organizational, writing, and presentation skills. Must be able to work independently. Candidate will be responsible for marketing and developing new clients. Work may also include preparation of conceptual intersection and other horizontal lane layouts, traffic signal layouts (locations of poles, heads, etc.). Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in transportation engineering, civil engineering or related field; five to ten years of engineering experience with at least two years in a project management role; registration as a professional engineer in the state of Colorado; a working knowledge of state, regional and local planning methods and subdivision criteria, including site impact analysis; experience with transportation computer applications including Syncro/ SimTraffic, HCS, QRS, MINUTP and other software; experience with AUTOCAD is highly desired.
